7 Spiritual Consequences Of A Hurried, Busy Life // Article

I came across this article the other day and it is so good I couldn’t not share it with you, dear readers.  We are all in a hurry.  All the time.  I am in such a hurry to get to the next thing that I forget to be present in the present.  One thing I was recently told concerning this problem of mine is that if I ever hope to be a therapist I am going to have to learn how to be present in the moment and leave the rest for another time.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but instead of being thankful for today and finding the Lord here in this moment I am already busy planning tomorrow.  When I was younger I would drive to the lake and go for a walk…a lot.  Sometimes more than once a day.  It was a place I could go to unwind and calm down.  I could take in nature and wonder about simple things.  I could leave the noise in my mind behind.  Everything seemed to slow down.  I could meet God in those moments… or He could meet me rather…. I wasn’t active in faith then, but I believe God still met with me, though I may not have known it was Him.

Anyway, if it interests you, give it a read and let me know what you think!

Until Next Time!
