How Deep is His Love

Happy Sunday, dear readers.  I am sitting outside with the computer under an umbrella as the clouds cannot decide whether to rain or not so they spit as they float by.  There is no wind though, so it is a lovely evening.    I missed church this morning because I overslept.  Not a good excuse, but I was exhausted last week and could not seem to catch up.  I’m not sure that I am yet.  As it is, I am kind of bummed because I was really looking forward to going.  I know there is midweek and next week, but that is a lot of waiting.

Anyway, I came across a new music album that I am in love with and one song in particular.  The album is called “Diamonds” by Hawk Nelson.  The song is called, “Drops In The Ocean”.  The lyrics are spoken from Jesus’s point of view and it just strikes a cord with me.  It touches my heart in a way that few songs do (well, except for those I share on here once in a while :)).  I wanted to share it with you all in hopes that it might encourage you the way it does me.  It brings me to tears when I consider how true these words are:

“neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
–Romans 8:39 NIV

  1. Wish the whole world could hear that song and take it to heart. Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves that we think Jesus is like that too. We forget that, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Romans 8:1
